Our air conditioner was struggling to keep up in the summer months. Our house is 50 some years old. The insulation had settled. It was recommended we have new insulation blown and it has made a world of difference both for winter and summer for our electric bill and gas bill. They were fast efficient and did an amazing job!

MyGreenKC performed an energy audit of our 100+ year old home with a focus on air flow between the floors. The photos they shared with me showed several areas where insulation would reduce the mixing of air between floors. They ultimately insulated the attic, spaces between the 2nd and 3rd floors, walls on the 3rd floor, and the seams between 1st floor and basement ceilings. They were able to reduce air flow by 50%. Our 3rd floor feels completely different; we used to have occasional issues with humidity that have pretty much disappeared. Overall the house is cooler without having to use more energy, as we are not loosing air in walks and floors. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to tighten up the envelope in their home!

Highly recommended. They are simply good people. They did an excellent job in doing a whole house evaluation, fixing the places that were poorly insulated and blowing insulation into the attic. They were SUPER responsive when I realized that the baffles had not been installed and they came around quickly and fixed the issue.

The GIC team was very prompt and knowledgeable. They were very neat and cleaned up well after themselves. We had our attic insulated and foam sprayed on rim joist and basement crawlspace. We noticed the house to be much quieter immediately. So glad we had this done in January before the -22 degree temperatures hit. Can't wait to see the effect on summer air conditioning bills.

I discovered the ducts in my garage were not insulated. I called Green Improvement with a few questions and to get a quote. They were very responsive and thorough answering all my questions and the quote was very reasonable. I scheduled an appointment. While waiting for the appointment I had a couple more questions. Again, they were quick to respond and thorough. They arrived on time and completed the job in a professional, timely manner. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family!

Great service! They performed a comprehensive energy audit that showed how much energy we were losing in our 1996 built house. Green Improvement did new blow insulation in the attic, added board insulation around our two coldest rooms upstairs and sealed all areas around vents, wiring and can lights. They did the same with sealing our basement walls and fixed the seals with our front and back doors. The change in energy consumption was immediate. Our house is now warm everywhere and the drafts are gone! It's like going outside on a cold day in a winter parka instead of a windbreaker. They also take photos of all areas in need of work and take before and after images. The entire insulation project took about 6 hours. I highly recommend.

I called and spoke to Luke about his company, and what he could possibly do to my house to make it more energy efficient. He sent out 2 very nice guys, who did a survey of the house and came up with some things they could do to greatly improve the efficiency of the house. He hooked up some kind of vacuum seal on the front door, and showed me how much air was leaking around the house. He looked at the attic to check the insulation, and it was deficient as well. Sean sent me a very detailed report, with pictures, and gave me his suggestions along with the prices. He also told me that he would file all of the rebates for me (which helped take care of a chunk of what it cost). I haven't received a utility bill yet, but can already tell the difference in the house when I turn the furnace on. I think the house is pretty tight! I had them foam the rim joists in the basement, did the whole home air seal and added much needed insulation. A KCP&L inspector came by when they were almost done, and checked their work. He said that he's very familiar with the company and they always do a great job. I was very impressed, and would encourage anyone that is wanting to save money on utilities and have a more energy efficient home to contact them. They were A+

Bought a house in 2011, had about 3 inches of insulation in attic (2 story house), waited forever to get this fixed, and couldn't even sleep upstairs in summer it was so warm. Finally broke down and had these guys come out a couple years ago and put this 22 inches in, now even in the summer it's comfortable upstairs, and it stays warmer in winter, and my electricity bill is down at least 40.00 a month. After getting bids from a few different companies, I decided to hire Green Improvement Consulting to re-insulate my attic, and insulate the edge rafters in our 1950s Roeland Park home. These guys were very friendly and knowledgeable, with a reasonable price, and were very flexible with scheduling. They were very knowledgeable in regards to any rebates available, but unfortunately Kansas doesn't offer any. They knocked out the attic and basement all in one day, leaving everything clean when they left. They were able to find various areas in my attic that were never before insulated, and did a great job getting everything updated and protected, and provided a ton of pictures once they were finished so you felt comfortable knowing for sure that everything was sealed. Since the new insulation has been in, I have definitely felt a difference in how often the AC/heater kicks on, as well it has been much less draftier in the basement.Would recommend them if you are needing insulation in a new or existing home!read more

Our new house was already pretty tight & geothermal but wanted a door blower test etc to be certain we were doing all we could to conserve. They sealed what leaks we had, assisted w/ keeping pests out (& leaks) w/ extra sweeps & w/ added insulation we're an R49!!! KCP&L energy guy (free visit) was very impressed w/ what he saw here. We started having illnesses shortly after & they came back out to double check & assist w/ trying to figure out cause of illnesses as Dr's were running us down so many rabbit holes! Turns out it's a virus & nothing to do w/ insulation or sealing or mold or allergies....the sincere care, going the extra mile, military friendliness, submitting paperwork for rebates just makes them THE best!!!
