Energy Audit Kansas City

Efficiency Kansas was supposed to be a revolving loan program with 34m in funding from the stimulus. It seems the state , with support from Governor Brownback’s office, wants to move 66% of the money to an ethanol project. The program was designed to help home and small business owners, but it now seems the stimulus dollars will be redirected to a large corporation.

There is a deadline of April 2012 to expend the funds and there was a slow start . This has been ramped up in the last few months. The letter I received says with the new changes they expect funding to be depleted in the next few weeks.

It is not known what will happen with customers that have had an audit but not yet secured funding.

It stinks if you ask me
