Cool Homes or Energy Sense contractors are no longer required for EWKC rebates in fact no HVAC upgrade is required , the only catch is a 15% energy savings  must be projected from the initial assessment for an Energy works kc rebate of up to $1000.

EnergyWorks KC has $6.5 million available to provide rebates and other financial incentives for homes and businesses that want to improve energy efficiency. The group made the announcement at a news conference this afternoon.

Previous blog entry ….  EnergyWorks KC EWKC is a new rebate program for Kansas City Missouri residents. It combines Home Performance with Energy Star’s  Energy Audit with Cool Home’s by KCP&L or Energy Sense by MGE. The details are final a home owner could receive an extra $900 rebates form the City of Kansas City.

There is a minimum of 15% Overall energy savings required. Energy Works KC  is live as of 9-29-11. The first step requires scheduling a Home Energy Audit. The customer must also upgrade to an energy efficient furnace, air conditioner or water heater .

To begin the Energy Works KC Process you must create an account HERE , This is the MEC web portal where you enter some basic owner information and utility data.  Then simply request an assessment from Green Improvement Consulting . You will be on your way to a more efficient, more comfortable home with utility lower bills.
